Meditation: Ancient Wisdom for a Modern World
The ultimate realization of meditation—and yoga—is of our underlying essential nature that is experienced as always whole, healthy, healed and perfect. We realize that there is this unchanging essential aspect about each of us that can never be harmed or hurt, and is never in need of healing.
But how many of us, or our students or clients, are in touch with this realization on a daily, moment-to-moment basis? And for those who are, how much time, each day, do they, or we, spend nourishing this realization?
Proper yoga training invites us, as yoga practitioners, to wholeheartedly realize this understanding—not just intellectually—but with our entire body and mind. Recognizing and embracing this understanding places us then, in our personal lives, as well as in our work with students and clients—in the proper position to help ourselves and them face what is in need of healing.
During this workshop, Richard will showcase Direct Path teachings that enable you to recognize and experience “this” that is already and always whole, healthy, healed and perfect, just as it is, just as you are, so that you can then pass this recognition on to your clients and students. Richard will then present Progressive Path teachings that you can utilize to help yourself and your students/clients face what is in need of healing. These teachings are drawn from the wisdom traditions of Samkhya, Patañjali, Advaita and Kashmir Nondualism – The basis of iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation, a comprehensive program for promoting health, healting, resilience, and well-being.
