Carrie Booth

Carrie has over two decades of experience as a social worker and therapist working in a variety of settings with diverse and marginalized populations and communities. In her work she strives to blend together her experience and knowledge of both Western psychology and social work with Eastern wisdom and healing, recognizing that there are many paths towards health, healing and well-being. She honors the unique beauty that lives in and from each and everyone of us, as well as the challenges we face in living this journey we call life.

Carrie teaches public IRest meditation classes on an ongoing weekly basis at Elk Rock yoga and also offers monthly special events and series at Sellwood yoga. She is currently working towards certification in IRest as well as Yoga therapy and is a Reiki II practitioner. Carrie is passionate about and committed to the integration of mindful body, energy and spirit interventions with conventional therapy approaches. Carrie presently has a private practice in downtown Milwaukie, Oregon, and also devotes her time to bringing and teaching yoga and IRest to women in residential treatment for chemical use and dependency as well as women incarcerated at Coffee Creek Prison.
