I started practicing yoga 20 plus years ago in California at Gold's Gym. It was a different class & though I enjoyed it over the years, it wasn't till I moved to Albuquerque, NM & had quality teachers that paid attention to alignment & did these "weird" chants that I felt this was yoga! There was something different with these teachers, they loved teaching yoga!! When I moved back to El Paso I began practicing hot yoga & noticed students coming in to take class but the teachers never focused on these newbies! It took all of me to not want to add my two cents but I stayed on my mat! I told myself if I ever became a teacher I'd focus on safety & alignment.

I'm happy to say that I was the first YTT class at the studio I practiced at! I have 100 hr from YogaFit, E-200 HR- RYT, 500 HR-RYT, Level 1 & Level 2 Relax & Renewed Restorative trained by Judith Hanson Lasater, Level 1 Aqua Yoga Certified & Level 1 iRest Certified.

Those clients who attend my classes will have fun, know they will be safe & successful in their practice, & feel loved. They will gain the ability to breathe correctly, learn about themselves & how amazing their bodies are, be mindful & start having a relationship with their bodies. I teach Basics, Restorative & Iron Yoga (yoga & weights).
I am an Orientation & Mobility teacher working with Visually Impaired/Blind adults. I teach group yoga classes, I work at a Rehab facility for Traumatic Brain Injured individuals, working 1-1 with patients, meeting them where their bodies & minds are. In March I'll start classes at a mental healthcare facility specific to veterans, active military & families.

I enjoy taking stained glass classes (when I can!), being with friends & family, learning, traveling & exploring.
