My journey into meditation and mindful practices evolved from my yoga therapy education and quite frankly being a parent. As a parent, I became a student and practitioner of non-violent communication (NVC) also known as compassionate communication which invites us to speak and listen from and through the heart. Later, through study and work with yoga clients it became clear that the combination of therapeutic yoga postures and breath was incomplete without mindful awareness and a sense of embodiment. After one iRest practice, I felt embodied and connected to a deep peace and equanimity and drawn to the iRest teachings and protocol sensing it would be an important tool in my therapeutic toolbox! Always incorporating heartfelt listening, I seek to create an environment for meditation and yoga that feels safe and calming, encouraging students to welcome the breath and all that arises with a sense of playfulness and curiosity. I’ve been told my calm manner and voice are soothing and it would be my honor to guide you toward connecting to your true nature, inner wisdom and relief from pain. Opening to the wealth of intelligence that lies within the body and the stillness of meditation can lead to profound insight, healing, personal growth and self compassion.
