Laura J Silverman

Laura has been a practitioner of a variety of meditative practices since she was stationed in Japan with the Navy over 20 years ago. It wasn't until she discovered Dr. Miller's work that she realized what was missing from her practice: a true sense of no-separateness.

In her desire to learn more about herself and to help others experience this connectedness, inside and out, she completed iRest Level I Training with Richard Miller. Since then, she has been leading group and individual iRest sessions in the metro Atlanta area.

"As a licensed social, my work requires me to join people in some of their darkest and most painful moments. iRest enables me to be truly with them while simultaneously feeling a deep sense of compassion and gratitude for being invited into their journey. Conducting iRest classes is my gift to myself and to others seeking guidance into a deep personal self-inquiry leading to a true sense of no-separateness-from themselves, from others."

Laura continues her mindfulness skills with Cognitive Based Compassion Training which dovetails nicely with iRest.
