Geraldine Wu - Bio
Geraldine’s journey to Yoga was accidental. In her early 50’s, she started exercising for medical reasons. Yoga came at the casual suggestion from her daughter. The mind-body connection of yoga and its benefits became obvious quickly and this has led to unusual turns and additions in her life. Her learning has been broad based, including Integrative Yoga Therapy with Joseph LePage at Kripalu, Svastha Yoga Therapy with Ganesh Mohan, M.D. Ayurveda Yoga Specialist with Kathryn Templeton., Lifeforce Yoga therapy for depression with Amy Weintraub, iRest with Dr. Richard Miller and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat Zinn. She attends continuing medical education courses related to yoga and alternative medicine offered by the American Psychiatric Association. Geraldine is a 500 hour RYT certified yoga teacher through It’s Yoga. Geraldine teaches Yoga at Anahata Yoga Center. Geraldine is also the Yoga therapist at Integrative Medicine Clinic at UC Women’s Center. For Geraldine, yoga is an endless path of learning and a way of life.
