'Change your thoughts and you change your world' - Norman Vincent Peale. I am committed to guiding people who want to resolve their pain and suffering and experience deep healing and peace through the practices of Yoga and nutrition. If you are looking for a proven professional who can guide you to address chronic pain, busy mind and poor posture you've come to the right place. With 11 years of working with people with similar worries and concerns and guiding them to remarkable success, my mission and commitment is to empower people to feel unconditional love for themselves exactly as they are. I began my yoga journey when I was 18 years old simply as an exercise to help with my painful scoliosis spine and lack of flexibility. I could not come even close to touching my toes! My upper body was particularly weak. My first teacher, a German lady called Ula was an inspiration; she lived and breathed yoga, her posture was of ease and grace and she could stand on her head! I thought it was amazing that she was able to move her body in so many different shapes at her age (she was about 50 then which seemed old to me, now I am 53!) Since then I have practised yoga on and off. Curiously I went back to it in a big way each time I was pregnant. In 2011 I was inspired again by another wonderful teacher who brought yoga to our country city of Sale. By this time I was, diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, psoriatic arthritis which is very debilitating and painful. Through the practice of yoga I have learnt pain is not meant to hurt you. It is not meant to make you feel unhappy, lost alone and helpless. On the contrary pain is meant to help you return Home – back to yourself, and back to being all that life created you to be. And if you learn to treat it with love, respect and compassion, it will help you cleanse yourself of yourself. And it will teach you how to free you from all those fearful thoughts, ideas, attachments, beliefs and limitations that keep you unaligned with Source, and unaligned with the Truth of who you are. In 2012 I decided to train as a Yoga teacher, something I had wanted to do for a long time with Power Living Yoga Australia (P.L.A.Y) and in 2015 after studying Yoga for Pain, I am now registered and you will find me at http://yogaforpaincare.com/find-a-yoga-for-pain-practitioner/. I am also a registered Nutritionist with a post grad degree in Human Nutrition. And now I have begun my iRest Yoga Nidra journey... I am very grateful to have loads of energy and an insatiable appetite for learning. Our world is a magical place full of abundance and wonderful people.
