Ann Vermeer, M.A., RYT-500, is certified iRest® Yoga Nidra teacher, yoga therapist, and mythologist. A former telecommunications executive, she is committed to facilitating change with students who wish to examine habitual patterns and narratives that keep them stuck. She engages practices and philosophies from yoga, depth psychology, mythology and 12-step recovery programs to discover new, more creative narratives that foster self-healing and wholeness.
Ann considers iRest Yoga Nidra integral to the inner work done through self-study, depth and ecopsychological inquiry, and 12-step programs. She offers individual instruction and teaches a variety of yoga classes and workshops through Chiron Therapeutic Yoga in Longmont, Colorado. She also teaches iRest Yoga Nidra at Viridis Graduate Institute in both the M.A. in Ecopsychology and Certificate in Adaptive Leadership programs. She is particularly interested in depth psychology and how Eastern and Western mythologies and philosophies inform individuals and cultures in the current decade.
She is a member of The International Association of Yoga Therapists. She received her M.A. in Mythological Studies with emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2007. She serves on the Boards of Boulder Friends of Jung and Viridis Graduate Institute, International School of Ecopsychology and Environmental Humanities.
