Dee Person is a 500-RYT, Integrated Health Coach, Personal Trainer and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran focusing on special populations. Dee developed and personally led the LIVESTRONG Foundation’s Mind Body Program for Cancer Survivors in Southeast Iowa. She currently is the Cancer Track Coordinator within the Physicians Referred Exercise Program in the Great Philadelphia Area. Dee’s goal is to bridge the gap between the medical community and the yoga community as a Yoga Therapist and iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation Instructor. She offers two classes a week designed specifically for yoga survivors and their family members at ACAC Fitness and Wellness Club. As an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, she leads iRest sessions at Veteran Hospitals and local Veteran support groups. Dee brought iRest to the employees at Captain James Lovell Federal Healthcare System, the former North Chicago VA Hospital, which is the first integrated Veteran and Active Duty medical facility in the United States. She also led iRest at the Iowa City Veterans Affair Hospital while living in the Midwest and serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserves.
