Extensive Education and Experience:
Isabel holds a Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology (PsyD), and practices as a licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), registered Hypnotherapist (CHt) and licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) in Washington State. Isabel also has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology (MA), and Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in organizational management. Her Master’s thesis focused on workplace stressors. She is a Reiki Energy Master, certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, and iRest® Integrative Restorative Yoga Nidra Teacher, Intuitive Energy Medicine practitioner, Certified Kundalini Yoga/Meditation Teacher (C-IKYTA), and a Nutritional Therapy Consultant (NTC).

Isabel completed iRest® Level II Advanced Training. Additionally, with the direct guidance of Dr. Richard Miller as a voting member on her doctoral dissertation research committee, she has also contributed her original PsyD doctoral dissertation research on the "Efficacy of iRest on Perceived Stress in Workers" to the ever-increasing body of literature that supports the greater understanding of the benefits of yoga on well-being.

Isabel completed her doctoral practicum at Sound Mental Health, a community health center in Bellevue, Washington, and her doctoral internship at the nationally renown Meier Clinic in Bothell, Washington. During her practicum training, Isabel also completed the Alcohol/Drug Counseling certificate of achievement program at Bellevue College, and has extensive experience in the treatment of chemical dependency and problem gambling. Over the past decade, she has completed of 9000+ hours of practicum, internship, and private practice experience that has served a wide range of clients including individuals, couples, families, and groups with co-occurring mental health needs including Abuse Problems, Acute and Posttraumatic Stress Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Mood/Bipolar Disorders, Eating Disorders, Depression Disorders, Impulse-Control Disorders, Personality Disorders, Relational Problems, Sexual Disorders, and Substance-Related Disorders.

Personal Life:
Isabel is wonderfully married to Stephen Barbuto. After living in the same neighborhood of Sammamish, Washington for over twenty years, she and her husband relocated to the Palouse area of Moscow-Pullman, Idaho. They are enjoying life with seven furry four-legged children, including three miniature-pinscher dogs, and four cats.
