Laura is a master’s level social worker and graduated in 2019 from University of Tennessee with her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) and Veterinary Social Work Certificate. Laura is experienced in working with college students, women, children, and families. In 2022, Laura continued her studies by obtaining her certificate in Organizational Leadership in Social Work by the University of TN and completing her iRest Level 1 teacher training in the same year.

Laura currently works in a therapeutic preschool program as a therapist. Laura’s interests include trauma work in early childhood, the intersection of intimate partner violence and animal violence, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and advocating the access and utilization of mental health services in the Asian American community.

Laura gives back to the social work profession by assisting the University of Tennessee as a field instructor.

In Laura’s free time she co-runs Subtle Asian Crafting, a community group holding over 2,000 members of Asian Descent who engage in professional and recreational crafting.
