iRest Teacher
Camp LeJeune, NC

My name is LaVerene Pyle. I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and a graduate of Level I iRest Yoga Nidra teacher training.

Currently, I teach iRest Yoga Nidra at the Marine base in Camp Lejeune, NC. in a program that is part of the Wounded Warrior Batallion East.

I became interested in iRest Yoga Nidra because it provided a path in which I could actually heal myself. I had found something I didn't realize I had been looking for, something simple that could help me heal.

Later, after reading Richard's book, Yoga Nidra, The Meditative Heart of Yoga, I realized that this would be a great service to offer the Marines and Sailors I see in physical therapy. Many of them have sustained traumatic brain injuries (TBI) or diagnosed with PTSD and have tremendous difficulty sleeping.

It has been an amazing experience not only being able to share iRest Yoga Nidra with others but also to integrate it into my own practice. What do I love most about teaching iRest?...Being able to offer others the experience of peace and calm that is always present.
