I believe wholeheartedly in community and connection and understand how these are vital for us to thrive.
I love iRest and how it offers us the opportunity to build that compassionate connection with our whole selves first & our loved ones and how in turn this will facilitate a warmer more compassionate inclusive community in the future.
I am passionate about delivering my services from a trauma-informed resilience-focused, compassionate perspective and have a special place in my heart for women who have a history of trauma. I have extensive experience in the Community Services sector across a range of fields including, Social work, Case management, Family - Youth & Children Project work, Homelessness and Domestic and Family Violence. I have worked in women's shelters and delivered groups for women leaving domestic and family violence or with a history of trauma.
I am especially passionate about providing options based on the latest research in Neuroscience and Interpersonal Neurobiology and am always up-skilling in this area. Working alongside women using compassionate mindful practices is an absolute privilege for me. Working with children is an honour that I hold in the highest regard and brings me great Joy.
I offer both groups and one to one sessions teaching mindfulness to children and specialise in helping children with anxiety & emotional regulation using play-based and somatic practices.
I offer both women and children my unconditional compassionate positive regard and unwavering belief in each of them. I practice mindfulness and Yoga Nidra personally and find them to be immensely beneficial in taking care of my own mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
I am the mother of 4 children with a personal understanding of raising children with extra needs and autism.
I also understand the immense pressure of being the carer for a loved one with a mental illness.
