Therese Farnham

Therese has an insatiable curiosity about life and an eclectic work and life experience which influences her approach to healing. 

With curiosity to know how our bodies work she started out as a Biochemist, working for several years as a Medical Research Scientist.  Recognising  she had a deep yearning to work with people rather than test tubes Therese went on to train in Therapeutic Massage in the UK. 

Through her work as a masseuse Therese soon realised that massage was all about healing the body at a physical, mental and emotional level. 

A profound experience connecting with ‘something other’ during a treatment one day encouraged Therese to explore her spirituality. Through this Therese became aware of her ability to channel healing energy and in the same spirit that led her to finding out how the human body works she set out to explore what spirituality meant to her.

Therese felt that the best way to help others heal was to heal aspects of her own path which led to further study and a Bachelor of Arts with honours in Counselling studies.

Therese was delighted when she attended the iRest teacher training to discover just how powerful guided inner work can be at gently peeling away old wounds one-by-one like the layers of an onion. Therese is happy to be now offering weekly drop-in sessions in her home town of Lennox Head in the beautiful Byron Bay region of Northern NSW.

Therese has learnt many things and what brings meaning to her life is the simple joy of giving and her philosophy that the only reason for ‘being’ is to love each other and ourselves and enjoy the human experience.
