“Jaw-dropping wonder...in unfettered freedom,
the cause of the universe is This.”
—Verse 1 of the Pratyabijñāhṛdayam, translation by Joan Ruvinsky, “The Recognition of Our Own Heart” (2019)
The Pratyabijñāhṛdayam of Rājānaka Kṣemarāja is an 11th century foundational text of Nondual Kashmir Shaivism.
This ancient and profound 20-verse text reveals the direct non-path path to liberation. It explores how to achieve freedom from all limitations and unfolds the recognition that all things—you, me, and everything sentient and non-sentient are one, not separate.
Richard Miller invites you to journey with him into The Realization of Your True Heart: The Pratyabijñāhṛdayam, his own translation of the text, over the course of five sessions.
This series showcases the text as a portal for awakening and embodying liberation now, amid the circumstances of modern daily life.
During each session, you’ll explore selected sutras from the Pratyabijñāhṛdayam through guided meditations, talks, comparisons of different translations, and interactive discussions exploring this insightful, poetic text.
With a focus on firsthand experience, you’ll come to understand by way of direct apperception the true heart of pure, nondual Consciousness-Being-Awareness. How everything, including you, is an expression of the ever-changing cosmic cycle of intersecting and non-separate movements of undifferentiated Wholeness.
Join for an optional introductory session on Sunday, October 2 to receive an overview of the Pratyabijñāhṛdayam. This is open to everyone interested in exploring the text, providing a framework for those who join for the full five-session series.
You’ll receive resources including Richard’s translation of the Pratyabijñāhṛdayam and references to selected texts for further reading.
