I came to practice yoga after a challenging health crisis hoping to reacquaint myself with a body I had difficulty trusting. What I didn’t expect was that I would find myself on a yoga mat for the very first time experiencing a homecoming. A familiar recognition of “ah, there you are!” like I was meeting myself after a long separation. My practice became a curiosity in observing my mindbody in its healing and realizing the wholeness that had been there all along.

My passion for the practice led me to more in-depth study and to teacher training. My approach as a teacher is to facilitate a compassionate, non-judgmental, and welcoming space for students to explore themselves and connect with their own wholeness through movement, stillness, breathing, and sensing. Recently I began intensive training in Integrative Restoration (iRest®) Yoga Nidra with Richard Miller and associates and am currently a Teacher-in-Training Level II. As a practicing psychologist, I’m excited the best of neuroscience research has been thoughtfully combined with the practice of Yoga Nidra to offer a healing experience of bodymind integration.

I currently practice and study breath centered Yoga with Mirka Kraftsow and Madeleine Lohman. I'm a psychologist and iRest facilitator with Delta Mind Body Center in Sacramento, California. I also offer individual and group private iRest sessions.

When I’m not practicing yoga or psychotherapy, I can be found strolling the streets and parks of Sacramento, spending time with partners and friends, putting my face on my dogs’ faces, learning a new song on my guitar, watching live music, traveling, and delving into some kind of creative project that usually involves paint.
