Hey! After 28 years of searching what I wanted out of life I found it ~ working with our Military men and women and teaching Yoga...the best part is now I'm doing both, at the same time!
By day I work at the Naval Hospital on Camp Lejuene as the Inpatient Psychiatric Case Manager and have the honor teaching yoga and iRest with our Active Duty Marines, Sailors, and Staff!
In the evenings and weekends I do what I love the most.. teaching Yoga with iRest and relaxation breathing! On the beach, with the EI EMS station, SUP Yoga at Flatwaters Paddling...You might even catch me from time to time filling in at Second Wind Eco Studio in Swansboro or Porter's Neck Yoga and Spa near Wilmington, NC.
I had always dabbled in yoga all throughout college, but it wasn't until I went on the search for what I wanted in life did I discover I wanted and needed to teach yoga. I became a RYT200 this year, 2012. The same year iRest came into my life! What an adventure it has been. It is true what they say...life begins at 30! I'm so excited and passionate about what I get to wake up and do every day. And so blessed I have wonderful support from my command at the NHCL and co-workers. So blessed, so thankful. Teacher training for iRest was one of the most awesome weeks of my life! Such a peaceful journey I have found. I can not wait for the next chapter and trainings to come.
Here's where I'll keep ya'll posted on my up and coming adventures, teachings, and blogs! Stay Tuned, keep breathing, and Namaste...
