Born and raised in England, Tony, was an active sports person, playing rugby football for many years until a neck injury suffered while playing in the Royal Air Force curtailed his playing career. He served for twelve years, active duty with the Royal Air Force, serving as an aircraft technician. During his service, after retiring from rugby football he became an active rower, representing the Royal Air Force. However, a serious back injury resulted in surgery that brought a premature end to his rowing. Upon leaving the service, he subsequently moved to Oregon, where he embarked on a personal journey, which led him to reach into aspects of health, spirituality and personal growth, which for many years he had neglected. Accepting a friend’s offer to try yoga, he discovered the power of breath and movement. His personal struggles overcoming and accepting injury, his own journey together with a heartfelt sense of the many blessings and benefits yoga can manifest are present in each class he guides. He currently teaches at a number of studios in the Portland area. He is registered with Yoga Alliance as a E- RYT 500 certified teacher and is also a volunteer teacher with Living Yoga. He is an iRest Yoga Nidra Certified Teacher.
