Kelly began her iRest® studies with Dr. Richard Miller in 2007. She is a graduate of the Level II: Advanced iRest Training and is currently completing the Level III: Teacher Certification Program. Kelly has led iRest groups for adults with chronic mental illness and has assisted Dr. Miller with iRest teacher training programs throughout the Bay Area.

Since early 2011, Kelly has led a weekly iRest group for the Buckelew PATH Program for Transition Age Youth in San Rafael, California. The group, established to assist young adults with mental illness, focuses on reducing stress and improving coping skills. The practice teaches participants how to “be” with what is, facilitating greater equanimity and serving to mitigate psychiatric symptoms.

Kelly is deeply inspired by the iRest practice and views its powerful healing benefits as essential to her work with others, and integral to her own life.

Kelly holds a master’s degree in clinical social work from Smith College and pursues a private therapy practice based in Marin County, California.
