Lisa Sheppard

Level 1 Training

I am a Yoga Practitioner who has spent time studying with prominent schools of Yoga in the Far East. It was here that I earned my Yoga Teacher’s qualification in Yoga & Ayurveda (in Classical Yoga and Ashtanga). My qualifications are Yoga Alliance Professionals recognised and I am a Yoga Alliance Professionals Registered Experienced Teacher in the UK. I am also a Mental Health First Aider with MHFA England (recognised by the Royal Society of Public Health), and I trained with the Ayurvedic Institute UK and qualified as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle & Nutritional Practitioner. Recently qualifiying with the iRest Institute as a Level 1 iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation Teacher. My own practice follows Raja Yoga, the Eight Limbs of Yoga (eight fold path that leads us to an ultimate state of bliss), and my broader approach to Yoga is that anyone can do it. Yoga can and should be made accessible to everyone with a desire to learn and grow. Yoga is wonderfully nurturing spiritual practice for the mind body and soul and can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of experience. For myself as an experienced practitioner, it is a continuous journey of learning, exploration and practice… a gift that has been handed down to empower us to heal the body and mind in many different ways. iRest is a wonderfully nurturting practice to accompany and complement Yoga and brings it all together as a complete practice for healing and wellbeing.
