Marcia F. Appel

Marcia Appel is the founder and partner of Green Lotus Group, which operates five integrative healing centers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Formerly a journalist and then a corporate executive, she launched her mission in 2007 after studying yoga and completing the 200-hour yoga teacher training. She finished a two-year program in Mindfulness Yoga & Meditation at Spirit Rock, the Buddhist center in Woodacre, CA, where Richard Miller, Ph.D., was one of her faculty members and where she was introduced to iRest. Green Lotus' centers include therapeutic massage, acupuncture, holistic chiropractic, nutritional counseling, psychotherapy, energy healing, yoga classes, meditation, and workshops and events as well as teacher training and Reiki training. She has offered one-hour Yoga Nidra sessions to the general public at the centers since 2012 and now offers private and public iRest sessions as well. Green Lotus licenses its brand and content to others seeking to bring community-based integrative healing centers to their locales.
