After completing her MBA from USC in HealthCare Administration in 1996 and wrapping up a 28 year career in Healthcare and Finance, Pam turned her attention to the healing arts of yoga and meditation. Pam is a yoga teacher certified in many lines of yoga, covering kids to seniors, to infants, teens and adults. In addition, Pam is certified as a yoga therapist through Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga RX program and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, the oldest yoga therapy school in the US. Pam is also an iRest® Yoga Nidra Level II teacher in the iRest® method of meditation. In the last 2 years Pam has been providing yoga and meditation to segments of the Veteran population at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. While there she has been working on research on the effects of yoga and meditation on PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), other forms of trauma and pain. Pam’s aspiration is to research the efficacy of yoga and meditation on trauma and chronic pain. Her hope is that trauma survivors will heal more quickly and thoroughly without as much pain or side effects. She hopes that complementary therapies, such as iRest meditation, that are proved effective will be utilized alongside traditional medicine, surgery and psychiatric treatments. Pam is available for private or group sessions, on the phone or in person. Her students find her to be a gentle and kind teacher, who is in tune with her students' desires and needs. It is her honor to serve.
